Ebstein-Barr virus (EBV) infects lymphoid cells in immunosuppressed transplant patient and causes unregulated expansion of lymphoid cells.
- Range from lymphoid hyperplasia to malignant lymphoid proliferation
- Presents as adenopathy, fever, malaise
- Can involve, CNS, chest, abdomen, etc

- Graft versus host diseases (GVHD)
- Colitis
