Presents as anterior knee pain, swelling. Between ages of 11-15, M>F.
Radiographically, seen as heterotopic ossification around the insertion of the patellar tendon on the tibial tubercle and infrapatellar fat pad edema.
Microavulsion injury of tendon, not avulsion fracture of tibial tubercle.
