Creatine and Phosphocreatine (Cr) - cellular energy metabolism
Choline (Cho) - cell membrane synthesis, marker of cell turnover, increased with neoplasms or inflammation
N-acetyl aspartate (NAA) - marker of neuronal integrity, depleted in diseases that destroy or replace neurons
Lactate - not in normal spectrum, but may be present with inflammation, infarction and some neoplasms
Myoinositol - marker for Alzheimer disease
