- Stress reaction at the medial humeral epicondyle due to repetitive strain on the growth plate
- Can have avulsion injuries or sprains of the ulnar collateral ligament
- Ulnar collateral ligament injury more common in adult thowing athletes and often requires Tommy John surgery (UCL reconstruction)
