Hemangioendothelioma

- Most common benign vascular hepatic tumor in first year of life
- Most common symptomatic tumor in the first 6 months of life
- Similar to giant hemangioma of adults
- 50% have associated cutaneous hemangiomas
- Complications include high-output congestive heart failure
- a/w Kasabach-Merritt Syndrome - consumptive coagulopathy, thrombocytopenia
- Benign, will regress like cutaneous hemangiomas, but may have to treat if symptomatic
