Four Radiographic Criteria
- Closed epiphyses
- Epiphyseal abutting articular surface
- Eccentrically located
- Sharp trasition zone that is not sclerotic
- These rules do not apply for flat bones (pelvis) or apophysis (greater trochanter).
- Cannot differentiate 15% of giant cell tumors which are malignant.
- No sclerotic margin.

Fog Machines or Fegnomashic
- Fibrous dysplasia
- Osteoblastoma
- Giant cell tumor
- Metastatic disease and Myeloma
- Aneurysmal bone cyst
- Chondroblastoma, Chondromyxoid fibroma
- Hyperparathyroidism
- Infection
- Nonossifying fibroma
- Enchondroma, Eosinophilic granuloma
- Solitary bone cyst
