- Benign cystic bone lesion which contains calcified chondroid matrix (Rings and Arcs) except when in the phalanges
- Result of cartilage rests being left behind as growth plate advanced
- Difficult to differentiate between Chondrosarcoma, which can be painful

- Giant cell tumor
- Metastatic disease and Myeloma
- Aneurysmal bone cyst
- Chondroblastoma, Chondromyxoid fibroma
- Hyperparathyroidism
- Infection
- Nonossifying fibroma
- Enchondroma, Eosinophilic granuloma
- Solitary bone cyst
Ollier's Disease
- Multiple enchondromas with a flame-shaped appearance that run perpendicular to the physes
- Sarcomatous degeneration in 25%
Maffucci Syndrome
Multiple enchondromas with soft tissue hemangiomas and increased rate of malignant transformation.
