  • Result of cartilage rests being left behind as growth plate advanced
  • Difficult to differentiate between Chondrosarcoma, which can be painful

Ollier's Disease

  • Multiple enchondromas with a flame-shaped appearance that run perpendicular to the physes
  • Sarcomatous degeneration in 25%


Maffucci Syndrome

Multiple enchondromas with soft tissue hemangiomas and increased rate of malignant transformation.
