  • Chiari I: low lying cerebellar tonsils (5mm below line drawn between opisthion and basion), syrinx
  • Chiari II: displacement of the medulla, fourth ventricle and cerebellum through the foramen magnum, associated myelomeningocoele
  • Chiari III: Chiari II with high cervical encephalocoele

On fetal ultrasound can see Lemon or Bannana signs
