C-ANCA disease

aka Wegener's Granulomatosis
- Necrotizing granulomatous vasculitis involving the upper and lower respiratory tracts and kidneys
- Autoimmune in nature of unknown cause
- Prediliction for males in 50's.
- Multiple sharply marginated nodules or masses
- Irregular, thick-walled cavitary lesions may be seen during the course of disease
- Localized and diffuse areas of air-space opacification may also be seen, representing either hemorrhage or pneumonia
