  • Apicoposterior segment left upper lobe (50%), right upper lobe (20%), lower lobes (15% each) and right middle lobe (< 5%)
  • Central nodule or mass representing mucoid impaction distal to the atretic bronchus (bronchocele)
  • Hyperlucency
  • Hypoperfusion with paucity of vessels


Differential includes intralobar sequestration, which has an an arterial supply from the aorta
