Type 1 - inferoposteromedial to pinna, angle of mandible to EAC or periparotid.
Type 2 - most common (90%), anterior to mid SCM, deep to ICA, angle of mandible, CCA bifurcation, or parapharengeal
Type 3 - anterior to lower SCM, superficial
Type 4 - low, anterior to SCM, 90% left sided, follows recurrent larengeal nerve
